The Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalisation - OeAD (formerly known as KulturKontakt Austria) and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been forging strong partnerships and friendships for many years.
Creating quality and competitive educational and training systems has been our leading mission. OeAD has been supporting us on that path since 1997 with its rich knowledge and experience. They continuously contribute to the reform of vocational education and training through various projects and programs, starting from curriculum modernization, development and implementation of modular curricula, strengthening partnerships between schools and the economy to projects focused on quality assurance.
With the great help of OeAD, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2021 drafted and adopted new state-wide strategic document that will support the implementation of the Riga Conclusions and contribute to the modernization and strengthening of the vocational education and training system and position it in the European vocational education and training area.
Therefore, on behalf of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the education sector as a whole, I would like to express sincere gratitude to the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization for our longstanding and fruitful cooperation and congratulate 60 years of successful work!

The OeAD's Regional Cooperation Office in Sarajevo implements on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research education projects in close cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministries of Education of both entities and all cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Agency for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education. The current cooperation focuses on the reform of vocational education and training, quality management at schools and on improving cooperation between the business sector and vocational education and training.
