Stakeholders discuss the future of the European Research Area

At the "Future of the European Research Area (ERA)" event the OeAD’s managing director Jakob Calice spoke about the importance of future cooperation between the European Higher Education and Research Area.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the European Research Area (ERA) the Director General of the European Commission, Jean-Eric Paquet, the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) invited relevant stakeholders to a workshop for ERA stakeholders at the Haus der Forschung in Vienna.

Participants in the event included the FFG’s managing director Henrietta Egerth, the head of section Barbara Weitgruber (BMBWF), the Austrian Science Fund (FWF)’s President Klement Tockner, the OeAD’s managing director Jakob Calice, Melina Schneider (Austrian Chamber of Commerce), Helga Nowotny (ETH Zurich), Stefan Rohringer (Infineon Technologies) and Hans-Günther Schwarz (Austrian Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology – BMVIT) and they discussed the further development of the European Research Area.
