Would you like to study in Austria and are looking for a suitable scholarship or research funding?

Austria offers a wide range of funding opportunities for international students and researchers. Depending on your country of origin and field of study, various institutions – such as the OeAD, foundations, and other funding organisations – provide numerous scholarship programmes. You can find an overview on grants.at, Austria’s largest database for scholarships and research funding across all academic disciplines.

OeAD scholarship programmes: Overview by target group

On this page you will find detailed information on the scholarship programmes of the OeAD, divided into Bachelor, Master, PhD, Postdocs and Researchers. Some programmes are open to applicants from all countries, others are only aimed at a specific target group (depending on the country of origin).

The OeAD.map is a virtual map which displays registered projects and alumni funded by the OeAD and allows them to be presented in an international context. By using this map, higher education institutions and international organisations can easily find out about OeAD-funded projects from their region. Students and researchers can look for registered OeAD scholarship holders and connect with alumni through the oead.map.
