Subject-related study and research stays or a postgraduate education abroad serve as an important link between academic qualifications earned in one’s home country and a successful, internationally oriented professional career. These experiences not only enhance disciplinary expertise but also foster the development of social, linguistic and intercultural skills.

International academic mobility is appreciated and in demand by potential employers - particularly when gained through postgraduate studies or documented academic and professional activities abroad. In many cases, such experience is not only advantageous but may be a prerequisite for a swift entry into one's chosen field or for progression to senior roles.

The OeAD administers a range of outgoing scholarship programmes. Please see here for a list of our programmes.
