As an agency of the Republic of Austria the OeAD contributes to inclusive, equal and high-quality education on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research. OeAD employees work in Austria, Europe and internationally in priority countries. They advise, support and connect people and institutions in education, science, research and culture with future-oriented programmes. Internationalisation in Austria is supported, among other things, by the implementation of programmes such as Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and CEEPUS. The OeAD has an extensive network of contacts within the EU and in the geographical priority regions of the Western Balkans, the EU’s neighbouring countries in the east, Southeast Asia, China and Africa. It advises stakeholders in education, higher education and development policy and provides support in the context of development cooperation and science diplomacy.
