The Austrian-African Research Network Africa-UniNet is financed by the BMBWF und was initiated to create a long-term, stable basis for cooperation between Austrian and African universities and research institutions. It intends to promote new contacts, deepen scientific cooperation and provide excellent opportunities for innovative joint research projects, that are thematically related to the SDGs. 

Who can apply?

Member institutions of the network can participate in the calls, which take place once a year. Grants are awarded according to international peer reviewing procedures for a maximum duration of two years.

Submission dates

Africa-UniNet calls are usually open from 1 September - 30 November. Please refer to the Africa-UniNet website for more detailed and current information.
