The Austrian Framework of Reference for Digital Competence is a framework model that describes individual digital competences in different areas and at different levels. This way, it enables
all stakeholders to have a clear understanding of digital competences while facilitating greater transparency and targeted qualification.
The core elements framework are as follows:
- the DigComp 2.3 AT digital competence framework
- the application and usage options and
- the governance for the mapping of education and training offers
Significance of the National Framework of Reference for Digital Competence
By implementing the National Framework of Reference for Digital Competence throughout Austria we collectively accomplish:
- Increased visibility and transparency of digital skills in education and training offers.
- Improved orientation and comparability of education and training offers and digital skills in general – for both providers and participants.
- A foundation for the (further) development of offers and curricula regarding digital skills.
- Quality assurance through learning outcome orientation.
