Things to know about Linz

Linz is the capital of Upper Austria and with around 200,000 inhabitants is Austria's third biggest city after Vienna and Graz.

Visitors can experience a colourful mixture in Linz: Immerse yourself in the future in the museum, admire giant graffiti at the harbour, relax in nature or enjoy a cup of coffee in the old town. The Danube flows right through the centre of Linz, so visitors can also discover the city from the water. Those who visit Linz will spend an extraordinary time there and take home many memories in addition to a Linzer Torte!

The European Capital of Culture 2009 and UNESCO City of Media Arts constantly evolves because Linz changes. The city itself changes but it also changes its inhabitants and visitors during their stay.
