We support OeAD scholars before, during and at the end of their scholarship stay in Austria.

1. Before your scholarship stay

• We support you when applying for a visa or residence permit (in cooperation with our OeAD legal department).
• We provide information on questions concerning accommodation (in cooperation with OeAD student housing).
• We advise you on health insurance options. For stays of up to 6 months, we are happy to arrange coverage for you upon request.
   

2. During your scholarship stay

• We welcome you. During our on-site welcome meeting at the beginning of your stay, we will give you valuable information to help you navigate your place of study or research and to handle administrative matters with ease. We will also explain how to receive your scholarship instalments and help you understand your responsibilities as an OeAD scholar.
• We connect you. If you would like to meet other scholarship holders and explore your university town and its surroundings, you are welcome to join the excursions and events organised by us on a regular basis.
• We support you.
  • We pay out your scholarship instalments.
  • We carry out monthly spot checks to ensure compliance with the terms of contract.
  • We provide support in the case of a scholarship extension.

3. At the end of your scholarship stay

• We provide information on organisational matters (e.g. de-registering your place of residence, closing your bank account, cancelling your health insurance).
• We would be happy to stay in touch! Feel free to check out our services for alumni.
