Education: Digitisation

New teaching and learning platforms, online elements in stays abroad, distance learning and virtual partner meetings are now fixed components in education.

Funded by the European Commission, digital tools have been developed, tried and tested, and used. These are well and readily used by schools and other educational institutions. These EU programmes as well as many of the educational, cultural and youth programmes funded by the Austrian Federal Government are managed by the OeAD in Austria:

Digitisation in the Bologna Process

The countries of the European Higher Education Area support flexible learning and teaching formats and digital skills. The OeAD supports this in the Erasmus+ project 3-IN-AT-PLUS.

Digital learning

The Austrian federal government’s “Digital Learning” device initiative is part of the 8-point plan for digital education. The initiative provides access to digital education.

Digital Skills Austria

The development and enhancement of digital skills in the people living in Austria is part of this initiative. Quality assurance and certification of acquired digital skills is also part of it.

Erasmus+

In line with the priorities of the Digital Education Action Plan the EU programme promotes high-quality digital learning.

Erasmus+ goes digital

The Erasmus+ app serves as a “single point of entry” for Erasmus+ students. The European Student Card and the European Student eID make it easier to access digital services.

EPALE

EPALE is a multilingual, virtual meeting place for all those involved in adult education.

ERINNERN:AT is the OeAD programme for teaching and learning about National Socialism and the Holocaust. Teachers can find numerous teaching and learning materials on the programme website.

Europass is a free online tool of the European Union that helps people to document and plan their educational and career paths.

Digital mobile learning applications will receive this quality certificate from the BMBWF after undergoing a standardised evaluation and certification process.
