Under the motto "Future Partnerships between Higher Education and Society. Campus-Community-Partnerships revisited" the conference invites to critically analyze the cooperation between universities and society in areas such as Service Learning, Community Based Research, Social Entrepreneurship or Citizen Science on the basis of theoretical concepts, empirical studies and best practice examples. Furthermore, innovative research and development perspectives for profitable future partnerships will be discussed.
The program includes exciting sessions and two keynotes. On the first day, Klaus Schuch from the Center for Social Innovation will speak on the topic "Science and Civil Society - Partners for Social Innovation?". Another keynote will be given by Gabi Reinmann from the University of Hamburg on "Design-Based Research: a methodological framework for campus-community partnerships?".
A special panel on Citizen Science will take place on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 13:00 - 14:00. The OeAD Center for Citizen Science will be represented with the paper "Citizen Science as an approach for inquiry-based learning in school and out-of-school learning settings in teacher education and training".
