Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's Austrian Citizen Science Conference (ÖCSK) was postponed from February to June 2022. It will take place in Dornbirn in Vorarlberg, the westernmost province of Austria and at the same time in the border triangle of Germany, Lichtenstein, Austria and Switzerland.
The motto of the conference "Citizen Science - Why (actually) not?" remains unchanged. Among other things, the focus is on the questions of why citizen scientists should sacrifice their free time to work on research projects, what advantages this offers for citizen scientists and researchers or why sponsors should support citizen science projects.
There will also be keynotes by Erich Griessler (IHS Vienna) and Nicola Moczek (former coordinator of the "bügerschaffenwissen.de" platform). The OeAD Center for Citizen Science is also participating with four sessions.
