The Swiss Annual Congress of Science Communication will take place this year under the motto "Action and Fun"!
Main topics 2023
The conference will focus on two main themes:
- From knowledge to dialogue to action
- Science communication's accessibility and "fun factor"
Submissions can also be made for topics outside of the main focus areas. Innovative presentation and project formats are particularly desired, as well as contributions that focus on current and socially controversial topics, and contributions that relate to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they are communicated to the scientific community and the general public.
Formats
Following formats can be submitted:
- Workshop and interactive formats: A workshop is for a maximum of 25 to 30 participants and lasts approximately 75 to 90 minutes.
- Dialogue Session: Pitch of 2 minutes on the project or topic. Followed by 15-20 min discussion at a table with participants. 2-3 rounds.
- Failure Session: The format is still open and will be defined after the review phase.
- Talk: 14-minute talk with 6-minute discussion.
- Speed Talk: 6-minute short talk with 4-minute discussion.
- Presentation of a Scientainment format: By arrangement.
Deadline
The deadline for submissions is May 18, 2023.
