Integration of Ukrainian refugee pupils in the Republic of Moldova

In cooperation with the Education Directorate Vienna the OeAD supports the Moldovan Ministry of Education in integrating Ukrainian children and young people into the Moldovan education system.

The Republic of Moldova currently hosts approximately 80,000 refugees from Ukraine, some 42,000 of whom are children and young people. In cooperation with the Education Directorate Vienna the OeAD supports the Moldovan Ministry of Education in integrating Ukrainian children and young people into the Moldovan education system. On 14 and 15 November 2022 the OeAD’s managing director Jakob Calice, the Austrian ambassador Stella Avallone and the Moldovan minister of education Anatolie Topală exchanged views in Chisinau. Representatives of the Education Directorate Vienna and ministry representatives were also present at the exchange of experiences.
