The OeAD congratulates Anton Zeilinger on winning the Nobel Prize in Physics

“The OeAD warmly congratulates Anton Zeilinger on winning the Nobel Prize in Physics 2022. As Austria’s education and internationalisation agency we would like to thank Univ.-Prof. Dr. Zeilinger for the many years of very good cooperation in the field of internationalisation of higher education,” emphasises the OeAD’s managing director Jakob Calice.

“As President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences at the time he supported e.g. scientific exchange between young Austrian and Chinese researchers in the field of quantum communication. Zeilinger moreover emphasised the importance of dialogue between science and society early on – including at the launch event of Sparkling Science, the internationally renowned research programme for young people.”
