The #TruSD22 - "Trust in Science and Democracy" networking conference will take place from 2 pm at the Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna. The program includes presentations and interactive sessions. The opening by Federal Minister Martin Polaschek will be followed by a keynote address by science communicator Helmuth Jungwirth from the 7th faculty of the University of Graz entitled "Science is when you laugh anyway" - what science communication can learn from cabaret". Afterwards, best practice examples of successful science and democracy mediation from education, science and research will be presented.
In addition, participants are also invited to actively contribute to shaping the conference. Pressing questions and concerns about the conference topic can be posted directly after registration. The topics reported back will be collected and discussed in breakout sessions.
The conference will be followed by the presentation of the 2022 Ars Docendi Awards.
