The recipients of these scholarships have to commit themselves to working as general practitioners in a region of Lower Austria for at least five years after completing their medical training.
As of the academic year 2022/2023 up to 10 students of medicine per year will be supported during their studies with a monthly scholarship instalment of EUR 923.
Students of medicine who are at least in their third year of study can apply for this scholarship.
In addition to academic success, factors such as attachment to the province of Lower Austria, motivation to work as a country doctor and commitment in nursing and social issues will also be taken into account when awarding the scholarship.
Applications will be possible online as of 1 August; the closing date for applications is 11 September 2022.
