OeAD International Testing Services conducts higher education-related admission tests, job-related examinations, GMAT, GRE, SELT and TOEFL. Now additional tests and exams are available!

New at the OeAD: GRE – Graduate Record Examination

In 2006 – 15 years ago – the first Internet-based TOEFL tests took place successfully in Austria. In 2021 the test centre's portfolio of examinations was expanded to include an important higher education-related examination: The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is an internationally recognised standardised and interdisciplinary admission test and an integral part of an application for master's and doctoral/PhD programmes at many universities and graduate schools with an English-language curriculum.

New at the OeAD: SELT – Secure English Language Test

The UK Home Office awarded the OeAD test centre the “Permit To Operate (PTO)” to carry out SELT (Secure English Language Tests). This will address new target groups as all stages of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1 to C2) will now be covered. This applies, for example, to participation in work-and-holiday programmes or to apply for a Red-White-Red Card. The Brexit will also give rise to visa requirements in various areas. Proof of English proficiency by means of a “Secure English Language Test” is usually one of the conditions for obtaining this visa.

New at the OeAD: EPSO exams

Prometric, a global player in the test industry, has commissioned the OeAD to carry out its tests at the Vienna location. Prometric has an exclusive contract with the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO), which is responsible for the selection of personnel for numerous EU jobs. Successful completion of such a procedure is often a prerequisite for working at EU institutions as generalists or specialists. The computer-aided pre-selection tests (EPSO examinations) are held in Austria by employees of the OeAD Test Centre.
