The White Paper offers 94 concrete recommendations for the further development of Citizen Science in Germany. A Citizen Science overview of the D-A-CH region is also included.

As part of a two-year participatory process, over 200 people from 136 organisations created the white paper "Citizen Science Strategy 2030 for Germany."

What is the White Paper about?

In it, interested parties will find 96 recommendations for action for the further development of Citizen Science in Germany. These relate to a total of 15 fields of action, including funding instruments, networking and exchange, science communication, educational concepts, etc. One of the fields also presents the European perspective and highlights the current Citizen Science situation in the D-A-CH countries and thus also in Austria. Among others, the funding programs "Sparkling Science", "Sparkling Science 2.0" and the OeAD Center for Citizen Science are mentioned.

How is the white paper structured?

For a quick overview, readers will find a summary of the most important core statements and guiding principles for each field of action at the beginning of the White Paper, each of which is then elaborated in more detail in a separate chapter. Afterwards readers will learn about the process of creating the white paper.
