The EUSEA Science Engagement Platform was established to serve public engagement professionals and to help them find inspiration, resources, methods, and tools for running participatory, dialogue-oriented science communication activities.
One of the biggest challenges when planning a science engagement event is finding the right format. Therefore the platform showcases a range of possible formats, as well as some practical examples to help professionals find the right way to present their event.
Formats
The platform offers an overview of numerous formats that can be filtered according to the purpose of the event and the target group (e.g. children, young people, families). The formats range from "Science Bingo" to "Science Podcasts" and "Fame Lab".
Ressources
Here professionals will find toolkits that have been created as part of various projects and deal with diverse topics such as "STEM Experiments" or "Evaluating Activities". Under "Good Reads", interested parties can delve even further into the world of public engagement and learn about misconceptions or best practice examples in science communication. Under "Inspiration," experts will find e.g. the "EUSEA White Book".
