Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania focus on greater involvement of the private sector and increased implementation of in-company learning in the development of their vocational education and training systems. The OeAD supports these reform steps with measures to strengthen schools as competent partners for companies in the organisation of in-company learning. The aim is to ensure, through more effective cooperation, that the two learning venues – school and company – jointly contribute to increasing the labour market relevance of vocational education and training in a well-coordinated way.

At each of the kick-off events in Skopje on 16 May, Pristina on 18 May, and Tirana on 24 May more than 100 representatives of schools of vocational education and training, social partners, companies and representatives of the competent ministries and vocational training agencies familiarised themselves with the new project priorities.
