City Nature Challenge 2022 in Austria

Since 2006, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the California Academy of Science have organized the City Nature Challenge. In this worldwide citizen science competition, citizens are asked to find and document as many species of animals, plants and fungi as possible in urban areas. In Austria, the City Nature Challenge is taking place this year in twelve regions across all nine federal states. It is organized by the University of Continuing Education Krems as part of the ÖKOLEITA project.
