Incentive – Citizen Science Hubs
- Duration: February 2021 – January 2024
- Austrian project partners: none
- Keywords: Responsible Research and Innovation, institutional establishment
The aim of the project is to demonstrate the potential of Citizen Science through the joint establishment and evaluation of Citizen Science Hubs (CSH) at four European universities: University of Twente (Netherlands), Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania). In this way, the project will accelerate the transition of these institutions towards a more inclusive, open and democratic innovation and science policy that follows the principles of Responsible Research and Innovation. In addition, the project aims to show European and international research institutes how they can create and run their own CSHs to ensure a democratic and collaborative way of shaping, implementing and monitoring scientific progress and technological growth.
