Larger communication projects are funded, especially in the suburbs of Vienna, aimed at the target groups of young people and young adults as well as senior citizens, and citizen science projects.
Who can apply?
- Legal entities based in Vienna
- Registered partnerships based in Vienna
- Sole proprietorship based in Vienna
- Natural persons who have reached the age of 18, have their main residence in Vienna and have completed their studies (university or technical college). Natural persons can only submit an application for individual funding up to a maximum of 10,000 euros.
What is funded?
The projects must either relate to Vienna in terms of content or Vienna must be the venue for the event and production. Possible focal points are:
- Focus on specific target groups: low-threshold offers for socio-economically weaker and educationally disadvantaged population groups, especially for young people and young adults or senior citizens.
- Spatial requirement: Creation of places for easily accessible science communication in districts that are less educational and socio-economically disadvantaged.
- Projects from the social sciences, humanities and cultural sciences: Activities that deal with knowledge generation and make knowledge production visible, preferably with participatory approaches.
- Communication measures of citizen science projects: The measures should be designed for a broader public.
How much funding can projects get?
A total budget of 1.1 million euros is available for funding. Projects receive up to 150,000 euros for a project duration of 12 to 18 months.
