"What is your doctoral thesis actually about?" - a question often asked by the family and friends of a doctoral student. This is where the KlarText Prize comes into play.

What is it about?

The Klaus Tschira Foundation is looking for young researchers who have written a very good doctoral thesis. They should explain it to a non-scientific audience in the form of a generally understandable article (in German).

Who can take part?

Researchers who have written a doctoral thesis in biology, chemistry, computer science, geosciences, mathematics, neuroscience or physics in 2020 and 2021 are invited to submit a proposal by 28 February 2022.

What can you win?

The best articles in each of the seven subject areas will be awarded 7,500 euros and published in the magazine "KlarText". The award winners will be admitted to the active alumni network of the Klaus Tschira Foundation.
