The event starts with an introduction to Citizen Science, its planning requirements, motives, and possible funding opportunities. A special focus will be on the collaboration between science and schools in Citizen Science projects. In this context, the newly launched funding program "Sparkling Science 2.0" (duration 2021 - 2026) will also be presented. The presentation of best practice examples for the collaboration between science and school in past Sparkling Science projects will round off the event.
In addition, Daniel Dörler and Florian Heigl from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences will present the Citizen Science platform "Österreich forscht" of the Citizen Science Network Austria.
If your research institution is also interested in hosting an introductory lecture on Citizen Science, please contact the staff of the OeAD Center for Citizen Science at citizenscience@oead.at.
