Monbukagakusho Scholarship in Japan

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to students and researchers from Austria who wish to study at Japanese universities.

The Japanese government's Monbukagakusho Scholarship aims to foster Austrian students' friendly relations to Japan with the aim of building bridges between the two countries, and with the long-term wish that participants can contribute to the well-being of the wider world.

Conditions:

Austrian nationals
Born on or after April 2, 1987
The degree must be completed before the beginning of the grant period
During the stay in Japan a 6 months language course should be completed (not necessary if the study programme is in English or if the student has sufficient Japanese language skills)
