Despite the current situation and mostly in online mode, the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences succeeded in increasing research and project sales, filling the study places, and ensuring general growth. The 27 courses, including 17 Bachelor courses and 10 Master courses, at the Krems University of Applied Sciences are offed in the fields of in economics, digitisation &  Technology, Health and Life Sciences. To enable the most flexible form of studying, the IMC Krems offers selected part-time courses and English-language courses. The focus in all classes is very much on research.

Since 2017, the part-time Master's degree in Digital Business Innovation and Transformation focuses on key business competencies combined with expertise in the areas of digitisation and innovation and the skills to understand, motivate, and lead people. The MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology) Bachelor's degree in Informatics, which started in 2019, focuses on programming, software engineering and data science.

The Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry combines a sound chemical education including future-oriented aspects such as the computer-aided evaluation of large amounts of data and the use of renewable raw materials, recycling, and the recovery of waste materials. Particularly noteworthy is that the "digital-fit" students as change agents - i.e. experts in artificial intelligence, data science, data analytics and business intelligence - are ideally able to guide and implement digitisation processes in companies.

The IMC FH Krems wants to expand its research activities continuously; in 2019/20, research and project sales increased to 7.3 million euros. With the state-of-the-art Media Lab, IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences created a central service facility before the pandemic, which takes care of teachers' concerns on the subject of blended learning.

To stay fit for the future, the Krems University of Applied Sciences also emphasises quality in all matters. For this purpose, it further expands and revises curricular, especially in the health sciences and in the MINT areas. Besides, the IMC Krems will expand the international network of 151 partner institutions.
