The event was initiated by the OeAD Cooperation Office and co-hosted by the Nordic Center of Fudan University and the Innovation Centre Denmark. The fair brought together 33 universities and educational organisations from twelve European countries. More than 500 students visited the fair.
The opening ceremony on October 24th was held in the Nordic Center. Alexandra Wagner (head of the OeAD Cooperation Office) and Magnus Jorem (project manager of the Nordic Center) opened the fair. The event was accompanied by music - western classical pieces as well as Chinese folk songs.
At the fair the indoor spinning station "cycling through Europe" attracted many visitors. The participants "raced" against each other and there were various prizes to be won.
Presentations on the higher education sector in Europe were held in the Austria Centre: Delegates from Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, Denmark and the Nordic countries presented information about the structure and admission criteria of the higher education institutions of their respective countries. Alumni of the Erasmus Mundus programme also shared their experiences.
All in all, the European Education Fair was a great success!
