Vice President of Fudan University visited Vienna

The University of Vienna signed a strategic partnership agreement with a Chinese higher education institution.

The Vice President of Fudan University Dr. CHEN Zhimin, along with Ms ZHAO Peiran from the Foreign Affairs Office at Fudan, visited Vienna on June 17. Mrs Alexandra Wagner and Ms Xiaoyan Fu from the OeAD Cooperation Office in Shanghai accompanied the delegation.

Dr. Chen came to the OeAD to meet the OeAD's Managing Director Dr. Jakob Calice. They discussed about possible educational exchanges between Austria and China. Prof. Richard Trappl, Head of the Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna, Prof. Heinz Gärtner from the Department for International Politics at the University of Vienna, and Prof. Hendrik Wagenaar from King's College London, and OeAD Programme Officers Ms Konstanze Pirker and Mr Michael Glatzl-Poss participated in the meeting.

Afterwards, Dr. Chen, as the representative of Fudan University, and the Rector of the University of Vienna, Dr. Heinz W. Engl, signed the Strategic Partnership agreement between the two universities. The partnership aims to further advance the collaboration between the two universities.
