Public lecture by Citizen Science expert Heidi Ballard

On June 17th, 2019, at the invitation of the Center for Citizen Science, the head of the Center for Community and Citizen Science at the University of California (Davis) will be visiting Vienna.

As part of her public lecture "Achieving real outcomes for science and for education through citizen science: Why and how can researchers and institutions incorporate citizen science as a core strategy?" Assoc. Prof Heidi Ballard will talk about her Citizen Science experiences and show how researchers and institutions can achieve their research and educational goals with Citizen Science. Barbara Prainsack – Professor of Comparative Policy Analysis at the University of Vienna – will give a reply. Afterwards there will be an opportunity for open questions and discussion.
