At this year's competition the Chinese students of German language and literature were invited to write a short play. The works of the participants were impressive; they showed rich imagination and a high knowledge of German.
The event was presented by Eva Boehmer, cultural attaché of the Austrian consulate general Shanghai. More than 30 prize winners, lecturers and students took part in the ceremony.
The artists Elias Hirschl and Jimmy Brainless kicked off the ceremony with their energetic poetry slam. Eva Böhmer and the two artists read extracts from the award-winning plays.
The competition was supported by Prof. Wie Liu, vice-rector of the Department for German Language and Literature at Fudan University, and the OeAD lecturer Maria Hofer.
