The academic seminar was dedicated to “Exploring the technological advantages of Austria in Austrian-Indonesian cooperation in science and technology”.

On May 20th this year, Anies Mutiari, a holder of the Ernst Mach ASEA-UNINET scholarship currently based at the Institute of Chemical Technologies and Analytics of the TU Wien as a doctoral researcher, was invited as a speaker to present on “Indonesia-Austria Cooperation Potential for R&D within the Framework of Making Indonesia 4.0”. The objective of the research is to advance Indonesian industrial capacities in the ‘Industry 4.0 era’. This is particularly salient as Indonesia’s ambitious National Roadmap on R&D 2018-2030 is currently being implemented.

Two other speakers, Mrs. Dewi Kejora, a Minister Counselor from the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna, and Dr. Arlavinda Rezqita, a researcher at the Austrian Institute of Technology, discussed legal aspects of cooperation between Indonesia and Austria. The event was organized in collaboration between the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna and the Association of Indonesian Students in Austria.
