MEST and HERAS sign officially co-financing agreement

HERAS, 12.04.2018 - Shyqiri Bytyqi, Minister of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) and Veronika Nitsche, board member of WUS Austria on behalf of the HERAS consortium, are officially signing the co-financing agreement for the HERAS project

On 12 April 2018, Mr. Shyqiri Bytyqi, Minister of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) and Ms. Veronika Nitsche, Member of WUS Austria board on behalf of HERAS Consortium, singed the co-financing agreement for the implementation of project HERAS. Minister Bytyqi stated that Kosova needs internal support and in this case, Austrian support in order higher education, research and applied science is promoted. From the other side, Ms. Nitsche highlighted that HERAS project contributes to the well-functioning of Higher Education and Research in Kosovo along the principles of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Research Area (ERA) with the long-term objective to support the socio-economic development of the country. The total budget of the project HERAS is EUR 2 Million. The project is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds of Austrian Development Cooperation, and co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (10%). HERAS is implemented by a highly experienced Austrian consortium represented by World University Service Austria (WUS Austria) as the lead partner and including the the Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research (OeAD) and Center for Social Innovation (ZSI).
