New head of the University Preparation Programme Vienna

She succeeds HR Dir. Margarete Kernegger, who retired on June 30th, 2017. Before taking up this position Sonja Winklbauer worked as a teacher for German and French at the Austrian school Budapest (2013–2017); before that she was the director of the University of Vienna’s Language Centre from 2006–2013. For more than ten years she has worked in teacher training and further education for teachers and worked on a voluntary basis for the Austrian Association for German as a Foreign/Second Language (ÖDaF). Moreover, she is the Austrian expert in the international German Teachers Association (IDV)’s board of directors.

The OeAD’s University Preparation Programmes (in Vienna, Graz and Leoben) are institutions preparing international students for studies at Austrian universities. We welcome Dir. Mag. Sonja Winklbauer and are looking forward collaborate with her.
