This monthly series aims to provide insights into innovative citizen science projects and foster knowledge exchange.
Johanna Trummer from the University of Innsbruck presented Freeze for Future, where youth contribute to climate education through data collection in mountainous regions. Anja Palandacic from the Natural History Museum Vienna showcased the Minnow project, offering schools modular participation opportunities in biodiversity research.
Both projects demonstrated that students can excel in both field and laboratory research when supported by well-designed concepts ensuring safety, effective collaboration, and communication.
The recorded presentations are available on YouTube.
