The Sparkling Science project TRA:WELL, led by BOKU University, has published a new paper in BMC Public Health focusing on the effects of independent mobility in children. The study is based on mixed methods and heart rate data that shed light on the complex interplay between movement, subjective perceptions and social interactions.
Through participatory approaches and close cooperation with schools, innovative strategies were developed to explore children's well-being. The results emphasize the importance of active mobility on their way to schooll for children's health promotion and provide valuable insights for the development of future approaches.
