Citizen science project seeks contributors in Lower Austria

The comfort:zone project is researching obstacles to mobility in Baden, Korneuburg, Krems and St. Pölten.

Citizen scientists can use an app to share observations about obstacles in public spaces that restrict mobility. A special focus will be placed on the needs of underrepresented groups. For example, where does a person in a wheelchair encounter an obstacle in the form of stairs or a person with a pushchair encounter access without a ramp?

The people involved in the project contribute to the collection of data and in return receive planning support materials that enable them to better argue their positions and concerns to the administration and politicians.

Anyone who lives, works or spends their leisure time in the cities of Baden, Korneuburg, Krems or St. Pölten can take part.
