For the eleventh time, the OeAD-Centre for Citizen Science, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), is inviting people from Austrian research institutions to submit ongoing citizen science projects to take part in the Citizen Science Award 2025. In the framework of this research competition, school classes, youth groups, families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds can take part in research on selected projects during the co-research period from April 1 to July 31, 2025 and win. The most committed citizen scientists will be honored at a ceremony during the 4th Young Science Congress in autumn 2025.
Registration is possible via an online form. The submission deadline is Monday, November 11, 2024.
The BMBWF and the OeAD-Centre for Citizen Science will then select the projects for participation in the Citizen Science Award 2025. The aim is to offer the broadest possible range of scientific projects from various disciplines that enable different forms of engagement throughout Austria. Projects that enable primary school classes to participate in research are particularly invited to apply.
The selected projects will be notified at the beginning of December 2024.
