The fellowship grants aim at enhancing the quality of teaching, research and innovation and the internationalisation in Kosovo’s Higher Education and research sector and will enable PhD students and post-doc researchers to study and carry out research in Austria.

The Marietta Blau Grants of the Austrian Centres (formally known as Doctoral Research Fellowships) are aimed at highly qualified doctoral candidates who wish to complete a research stay at an institute of the Austria Centers. The fellowship serves to optimize their doctoral thesis; therefore the fellowship stay must be completed before submitting the doctoral thesis:

The Ernst Mach Grant worldwide is intended for young researchers and university lecturers of all disciplines who are studying or pursuing research outside Austria and want to do a research project in Austria.

The Ernst Mach Follow-up Grant (EZA) is a programme for former scholarship holders from non-European developing countries. Eligible for application are people who are pursuing research or are teaching at a higher education institution in a developing country and already received a scholarship administered by the OeAD.

The Ernst Mach Grant – ASEA-UNINET within the framework of the ASEAN-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) enables study and research stays in Austria. The target group is researchers (postgraduates, postdocs and lecturers at member institutions of the ASEA-UNINET) as well as undergraduates and graduates (music performance).

The grant is named after the Austrian historian, who died in 2001 and who worked at the University of Vienna as a university professor for Eastern European history from 1967 to 1993. In 1981/1982 he was the rector of the University of Vienna.

CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) is a multilateral exchange programme with Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Students and lecturers can apply for a financially supported stay abroad in one of the 16 CEEPUS member countries. Both short stays (excursions lasting at least three days) and longer stays (up to ten months) can be supported.

The grant is targeted at highly qualified postgraduates who wish to pursue a doctoral programme in one of the following departments at the EUI in Florence: history and cultural history, economic sciences (political economy), legal studies, political and social sciences. LL.M programmes are not supported.

The Franz Werfel Grant is intended for persons with above-average qualifications, preferably with teaching experience and employment at a university, who focus on Austrian literature. The duration of the scholarship is four to nine months; an extension to up to 18 months is possible. Persons who consumed at least 12 scholarship months can apply for the follow-up support programme.

Die österreichweite Initiative des BMBWF fördert kulturelle Aktivitäten zwischen Schulen und Kultureinrichtungen aller Kunstsparten. Die Kooperationen eröffnen Kindern und Jugendlichen neue Wege zu Kunst und Kultur. Sie sammeln dabei Erfahrungen in selbstbestimmten und nachhaltigen Lernprozessen. Die Initiative wird vom OeAD umgesetzt.

Im Rahmen der Projektreihe "RaumGestalten" werden Schulprojekte der baukulturellen Bildung (Architektur und benachbarte Disziplinen wie Landschaftsgestaltung, Stadt- und Raumplanung, Tragwerksplanung u.a.m.) unterstützt. Ziel ist es die Wahrnehmung für die gestaltete Umwelt zu schärfen und auf anschauliche und motivierende Weise die Fähigkeit zur eigenständigen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Lebensraum zu vermitteln, um ein tieferes Verständnis für die Zusammenhänge zwischen Menschen und Umwelt zu fördern.

u19-create your world ist der Wettbewerb der Ars Electronica für junge Menschen bis einschließlich 19 Jahre, die Spaß daran haben, etwas Neues zu entwickeln und die Welt von morgen mit ihren Ideen und Projekten mitzugestalten.

Der österreichweite Kreativwettbewerb projekteuropa sucht im Schuljahr 2024/25 künstlerische Arbeiten zum Thema "Sternmomente – Europa kreativ".

Welche Schule organisiert den spannendsten und kreativsten Forschungstag? Dieser Frage geht der neue Wettbewerb des OeAD nach. Schulen bzw. Schulklassen aus ganz Österreich sind eingeladen, einen Young-Science-Tag an ihrer Schule zu organisieren, anschließend in Kleingruppen oder als Klasse auf kreative Weise zu dokumentieren und beim OeAD einzureichen. Beim Young-Science-Kongress 2025 werden die besten Beiträge im Rahmen einer Ausstellung präsentiert und die kreativen und forschungsbegeisterten Schüler/innen mit Geldpreisen für die Klassenkassa ausgezeichnet!
