Pupils explore yesterday's snow - radio report on the citizen science project "Snow2School"

The report about Snow2School is available online.
1 min read · 06. February 2024

In the Snow2School citizen science project, school pupils are working with scientists from the University of Graz and the University of Vienna to investigate changes in snow conditions in Tasiilaq (Greenland) and Eisenerz (Styria). Snow is a key factor in climate change, making it and its associated effects clearly visible.

The project has now been portrayed in the radio report in the Ö1 format "Moment" and the project leader Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schöner was accompanied on a school visit to the partner school in Eisenerz. The pupils themselves are active as Citizen Scientists and talk about their approach and their experiences as co-researchers.

The report (in German) is available on the Ö1 website.
