Ernst Mach Scholarship - UKRAINE: Application for extension possible until 7 April 2024

Current scholarship holders can apply for an extension by 7 April 2024. New applications are not possible. 

Since the summer semester 2022, the scholarship programme has been supporting Ukrainians to start, continue and complete their studies in Austria. These scholarships were limited until the end of February only. Current scholarship holders can now apply for an extension of a maximum of 10 months until 28 February 2025, if they meet all formal requirements. The extension is in line with the EU Commission's decision to extend the displaced persons status for Ukrainians until the beginning of March 2025.

Tuition fee waiver for the 2024 summer semester 

In addition, all Ukrainian students will be exempt from tuition fees at public universities and universities of teacher education for another semester. The corresponding exemption in the Tuition Fees Ordinance was extended again.
