Evaluation and recognition (“nostrification”) of foreign certificates

The evaluation of foreign school-leaving certificates is to facilitate the assessment of the value of school-leaving certificates acquired abroad and to enable a basic evaluation of their comparability with an Austrian school-leaving certificate. The evaluation issued is especially helpful when searching a job.
Certificates of schooling completed abroad or of examinations taken abroad can be recognised as equivalent (recognition, “nostrification”) if such recognition is required for obtaining a desired qualification.
