OeAD at the UNESCO World Conference: Culture and Arts Education 2024

Strengthening the global alliance for cultural education: The UNESCO World Conference on Culture and Arts Education took place in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 13 to 15 February. The focus was on the adoption of the international "Framework for Culture and Arts Education". This instrument is intended to support UNESCO member countries in anchoring the cultural dimension in the education system and promoting the acquisition of skills at schools through culture and arts. Sirikit Amman, OeAD head of department of the Education and Society sector, took part in the conference as a delegate from Austria and presented e.g. the "culture connected" initiative.
