OeAD counselling services regarding studying, scholarships and the law relating to aliens

The OeAD is often the first point of contact for students and researchers planning a study or research stay in Austria, Europe or worldwide. The OeAD also responds to enquiries from higher education institutions and other institutions. In the calendar year 2023 the OeAD answered about 7,500 enquiries from students, researchers and institutions. This is about 1,400 enquiries more than in the previous year.

The number of consultations for Ukrainian pupils and students doubled to almost 2,000 compared to the previous year. This shows the high level of interest shown by displaced Ukrainians in studying in Austria.
Moreover, about 3,000 job advertisements at PhD level and above of Austrian higher education and research institutions were published in the EURAXESS job database in 2023, which is an increase of 7.4% compared to the previous year.
