Submit now: "Innovative History" award for educational formats

The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research will award the Austrian State Prize for Historical Sciences every two years from 2024. Five prizes will be awarded in four categories

•  State Prize for an outstanding monograph
• special prize for a lifetime achievement
• two prizes for young researchers for dissertations
•  "Innovative History" prize for innovative communication approaches

The "Innovative History" prize recognizes innovative approaches to the presentation and communication of historical content, for example using digital media, participatory formats (e.g. Ctizen Science) or original communication formats. Positive consideration is given to projects that also promote understanding of historical thinking and work and thus contribute to strengthening confidence in science. The prize is endowed with €2,000. The application deadline is March 15, 2024.
