The overall success rate of the 11th call was 25%. All applicants have been informed about the outcome. The 11th call was open from 1 March to 31 May 2024. After several months of evaluation, the APPEAR Selection Board, chaired by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), met at the end of November to discuss the submitted project applications. Each project that met the formal requirements and was positively reviewed, was discussed, and evaluated based on the APPEAR criteria, including the guiding principles and added values. In a competitive process, 9 Academic Partnership project applications were finally selected including the following five priority countries: Kosovo, Uganda, Bhutan, Ethiopia and Armenia. The new projects will be running for two years from 2025 to 2027. 5 of the projects will be coordinated by institutions in the priority country and 4 by Austrian universities.

The 11th APPEAR call was the last call in the current APPEAR programme period running until the end of 2027.
