Participation in Winter School 2018 "Science meets Practice"

During the two weeks Tigran, together with the other winter school participants, gained experience in exchanging knowledge with local stakeholders, learned how to facilitate and run workshops and practiced interviewing techniques, under the guidance of trainers from ETH Zurich. Tigran will use this knowledge and experience not only for his PhD research but also for supporting implementation of the APPEAR project Transdisciplinarity for Sustainable Tourism Development in the Caucasus Region | CaucaSusT. The project aims at introducing a transdisciplinary case study teaching format at the two partner universities, the Armenian State Pedagogical University in Yerevan, and Tbilisi State University, Georgia. As part of his research Tigran will be responsible to develop a method for evaluating transdisciplinary case studies, which will be conducted in the context of the CaucaSusT project.

Transdisciplinarity Lab (TdLab) Winter School

Tigran Keryan is an APPEAR scholarship holder and a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Muhar, at the Institute of Landscape Development, Recreation and Conservation Planning, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). His research is focused on challenges and opportunities of implementing transdisciplinarity in the academic systems in Armenia and Georgia.
