Sparkling-Science-Spotlight with "Forest Groove" and "HybridLearningSpaces@School"

On May 8, project representatives from two Sparkling Science projects will share their experiences, describe their objectives and pass on initial lessons learned. Afterwards, there will be plenty of space for questions, suggestions and exchange.

Forest Groove:

Using a microphone instead of a microscope, “Forest Groove” creates a bridge between nature and music in an innovative way, promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and makes the biodiversity of the forest audible to a wide audience. In partnership with the Natural History Museum Vienna, WienXtra Soundbase and Radio Orange, the project aims to explore the acoustic diversity of these unique ecosystems. Pupils from the Deutschordenstraße educational campus, which is home to a kindergarten, an elementary school, a secondary school and a music school, are actively involved in this exciting research journey.

HybridLearningSpaces@School:

The project investigates the conditions for success and potential of hybrid learning environments. It relies on close cooperation with four commercial academies in the Waldviertel region, which offer cross-location educational focuses in a virtual classroom. These schools actively contribute their experience and needs to the research to ensure that the scenarios developed meet real school requirements.
