In the u3Green project (led by the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg), scientists are working with school classes to research the quality and importance of urban green spaces for young people.
In a recently published article, the research team has analysed findings from the project that relate to the participation of young people in urban planning. In a previous online survey of relevant stakeholders in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, data was collected on the status quo but also on the potential for improving participation processes. The article ‘On the situation and improvement of participation of young people in urban planning’ is available to read online with an open access licence.
All publications of current Sparkling Science projects are accessible on the programme's homepage.
